My first job in the communications field was staff photographer/reporter for a weekly newspaper. A Pentax K1000 served me well in filling the Algoma News Review with shots ranging from ribbon cuttings to scenic landscapes. Since then the Pentax has been retired after a long swim in Lake Superior. Today I use Nikon equipment shooting freelance for newspapers, editorial, advertising and cover images for magazines and promotional shots for tourism organizations and private resorts. I find my subjects in the outdoors shooting activities such as freshwater fishing, camping, paddling, hunting, hiking and landscapes.
